Football

Since Kayden is completely obsessed with sports it is only natural that he play them. So far this year he has gone to a basketball camp at ISU, is currently playing flag football, and asks me everyday when he starts t-ball, can go golfing, and play at game of catch. Watching a hand full of 6 and 7 year olds play flag football is hillarious. Kayden takes it very serious though. He loves it and it keeps him busy and every night he goes to bed completely worn out. We love watching him! He is really a great player and if he keeps it up will be very talented in the future.

Food, Friends, and Fireworks!

The Fourth of July is hands down one of my favorite holidays! This year proved to be no different. We started the day off with food and friends and ended it with fireworks. Poor Jeff and Emily are probably ready for a break from The Downs Family. We attempted at having a nice BBQ dinner outside, with the beautiful new patio set Emily got, although the weather chose otherwise. The rain and hail was amazing! We were very fortunate though and it all cleared up in time for the fireworks to start. This was Keirsten's first year of watching the fireworks, I was concerned that they would scare her, but she really seemed to enjoy them (even though she fell asleep half way through). Kayden, Kayden, Kayden...what can I say...the poor little guy is afraid of everything. Despite being constantly fearful of the fireworks I think he enjoyed watching them and had fun. Of course at the end he started to warm up to the fireworks and we were all out...maybe next year! To Jeff and Emily: Thanks for a wonderful Fourth of July!
